When you’re asked to bring your cole slaw to the potluck, you have probably found the winning combination. Over the years I have switched a few of the ingredients, changed from raisins to craisins (and left them both out if I’m making it for my hubby), you can add sunflower seeds to this as well. It’s always in the sauce!
Ingredients:
- Cabbage – one half head, shredded, can use green or red or a combination of both.
- 2 large carrots, shredded
- large apple (tart is preferable), diced
- 1/4 cup craisins
- 1 cups mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1/4 cup Maple Vinegar
- 2 teaspoons Maple Sugar
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Preparation
Combine shredded cabbage, carrots and apples in a bowl. In a separate bowl combine mayonnaise, mustard, Maple Sugar, salt and pepper. Stir then gradually add the Maple Vinegar, you can add more or less vinegar depending on the thickness you prefer for your slaw. Stir in the craisins.
